Poetry: Drooping Kids - Nilotpal Datta

Poem by Nilotpal Datta

With lumbering weight of things and bags.
A limping learner dawdles and lags.
Failing to keep them erect and stout
May droop them down and drop them out.
To get rid of this burning and learning
Something is to be done- needs a turning.
Don't let at all their laughter get down
If we do so,future will surely frown.
Its high time to give them back
What has been robbed - what they lack
Freedom and fun, life and laughter
That they may grow into real beings after.
Bring them back now from the rim,
And give them zeal and zest, will and dream.
